THIS IS THE BACK OF THE TRIBAL HALL BUILDING. DONATIONS HAVE BEEN GIVEN FOR PLYWOOD AND SHINGLES TO FIX THE ROOF.

AN URGENT CALL FOR HELP!

Presently, the Business and Claims Committee of the Yankton Sioux Dakota Tribe gave me the lease on the “old tribal building” in Greenwood, SD. The building is structurally sound and is our new Project.

The “Old Tribal Hall Renovation Project,” is a great undertaking for us here. We are looking for help in all forms, especially volunteers to do a lot of the work.

We need materials in the form of wood, sheetrock, insulation, plumbing and electrical supplies and more.  We have limited finances to pay workers, so we want to inform those who choose to do some of the physical work, we ask for volunteer services. This is one of the Spiritual Centers that is needed and we ask that volunteers literally help us to ‘pray it into existence.’ If you want to sponsor any part of the Project, please contact us and we can share the list of additional materials and details for you to make a receipt for your contribution.

Our intent is to create a Culture & Healing Center that will also be a headquarters for Sound & Video recording, Art Gallery, Tourism Office, Lecture Center, Tribal Archives Office and more.

So if those that have a calling a to help, please give us a ring.  If you choose to send a monetary gift or purchase materials, we have a 501(c)3 number through the Yankton Sioux Tribal Tourism Association (YSTTA). We are both Directors of the Board of this tribal entity. This Project falls under our Mission Statement and Purpose of our Constitution and Bylaws.
